Hosted by the Governments of the Netherlands and Colombia in April 2026, The TAFF conference marked a significant moment in global climate diplomacy. Taking place amid intensifying debates ahead of the 2026 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP31), the conference brought renewed attention to pathways for a just and equitable transition away from fossil fuels.

Against this backdrop, this event brings together policymakers, researchers, civil society organisations, and advocates to reflect on the outcomes of the TAFF conference and explore the road ahead. The event aims to:
• Share knowledge, reflect on and analyse the significance of this TAFF conference on the global efforts toward a clean energy transition.
• Identify opportunities for engagement with ex·isting and emerging policy processes on fossil fuels and Just Transition.
• Contribute to ongoing preparations for the next COP31 (Turkey, November 2026), and the next international TAFF conference in 2027.
• Foster dialogue across sectors and disciplines, strengthen collaboration, and help shape a more equitable and participatory global transition.
