This international seminar explores how labour law and related regulatory frameworks can contribute to decent working and living conditions in an increasingly interconnected economy. Discussions focus on two key challenges: the protection of labour rights in global value chains and the role of wage regulation in reducing poverty. Particular attention will be paid to developments in corporate sustainability due diligence, responsible business conduct, living wages, minimum wages, and the implementation and enforcement of international, European and national labour standards. Organised by the Department Private Business and Labour Law at Tilburg University, the seminar brings together researchers and practitioners to discuss future directions for labour governance and social sustainability.
