The S.P.A.C.E.S. Guest Seminar Series is a dynamic forum for thought-provoking discussions and collaboration on the globalized dynamics of law and governance shaping migration and state control over territory.
This S.P.A.C.E.S. Lab will reflect on and explore the role of space in their research on territory, mobility, and borders. It will explore the social dimensions of the production of legal space, focusing on how they define the law of territory, borders and mobility.
S.P.A.C.E.S. Lab is open to anyone who would like to explore the role of space in their work regardless of thematic area or field of law.
Participants are encouraged to explore the role of space in the context of territory, mobility, and borders and reflect upon how these insights translate into their own research.
The lab will consist of a tour of 10-minute reflections followed by roundtable discussion and a group exercise. A concept note will be shared with all registered participants in advance with questions for preparation.
