The Academic Collaborative Centers for an Inclusive Labor Market and Climate and Energy are organizing a symposium on just transition policies and practices. The symposium will share insights from, among others, the research project Climate Transition and Justice. Central to the discussion is how lived experiences of workers can be connected with critical perspectives on epistemic (in)justice, climate justice, and recognition.

Speakers and subjects:
• Julius Veenstra, Anaëlle Bueno Patin, Alfred Archer and Yvette Drissen (Tilburg University): Opening and presentation about epistemic injustice and the just transition.
• Ewan Gibbs (University of Glasgow): ‘We cannot allow oil and gas workers to become the coal miners of our generation’: epistemic injustice and the historical understanding of British energy workers.
• Charissa Leiwakabessy (University of Amsterdam): Recognition injustice in practice: misrecognition in the Dutch energy transition.
• Panel discussion with unionists Kristel Lageweg (FNV) and Corinna Zierold (IndustriALL).
